... wasting your time! These days, I find more and more
individuals with an absolute urge for doing nothing. It seems like the supreme
goal of an ordinary day is to go home and do nothing. We spin around
nothingness and comfort and it kills our spirit. We start to hate any type of
change that might occur and pulls us out of the cozy little bubble that we are surrounded
by. We are unproductive, unenthusiastic and sadly, less and less content.. Life
passes by and it doesn’t seem to affect us anymore. We find ourselves in a
constant waiting for greater things, for Christmas, for Summer, for a soul mate to
arrive. We don’t work to find our happiness, we wait for it. We dream about the
future and regret the past. And that is wasting the most precious thing that we
have – the present.
... wasting your time! To be around the wrong people is
unfortunate, but to let them make us miss out on life is bad and totally our
fault. We settle without asking questions just because it spares us the effort.
They make us feel miserable, unworthy and self-conscious, but somehow we stick
around. They push us away, they humiliate us, but we forgive and forget just
because we find it easier. How did we come to the conclusion that freedom is
the hardest thing? We think of ourselves as being altruistic, when in fact we
are really selfish for acting in behalf of convenience. The pressure of the
social environment constrains us to endure another’s disturbing behaviour for
the sake of a piece of paper and other people’s opinion.
... wasting your time! We’re grown adults, but we still
don’t know what we want to do when we grow up. We spend most of our time in
places we loathe, doing things we despise. We fulfill other people’s goals, but
we don’t have time to set our own. We consume our time resource being humble,
living under false pretenses of hope. We let ourselves fooled by cheap gift
bags, short weekends in dull places, a pat on the shoulder and a kick in the
ass. We chain ourselves willingly, we lose our bravery day by day, we keep it
quiet and surrender our dignity. When did we stop making our own dreams?
I hate my bubble and I want things to change, I just don't know where to start.

I'm working on it myself and it's really hard to step out of your comfort zone. I was thinking about doing something new (anything) every month, then write it down so I can see it and be proud of myself later on. If I find any helpful solutions I will write a blog post and let you know.
